Hotwheels Car Wash Activity – tinyfeats

Hotwheels Car Wash Activity

Posted by Sasha Stricker on

This Hotwheels Car Wash Activity is a great little no-prep project that I discovered last night. It's a great way to keep the kiddos entertained while I'm making dinner... so I thought I'd share it with you!

All you need is a shallow container, dish soap, a big towel to keep the water splashes contained. Then throw in a couple of matchbox cars, farm animals or other water proof toys to be 'washed'. This is also a fantastic sensory play project.

I achieved an impressive mound of bubbles using my battery operated milk frother, and, let me tell you the bubbles were a big hit with the kids.. 'cause what kid doesn't love a big 'ol pile of bubbles. But I think the project would still be a hit, even without the bubbles.

My daughter also got involved and pulled the barbie bathtub from her doll house and gave Elsa a bath as well... both kids played peacefully for about 45 minutes, and, I got dinner on the table, drama free. It was a great night!

Do you know of any quick no-prep activities like this? If so please share, I'd love to amass a collection of go-to projects for restless kid emergencies.

This project was inspired by the Barnyard Animals Wash Station post by Megan at Coffee Cups and Crayons, you can check it out here
